The annual Beverly Carnival is on its way and we need your help!

This event is a favorite among our students but we cannot pull it off without the support of our Beverly parents, teachers and friends. Please consider volunteering to help this year's carnival be another successful school event!

Welcome Back 2017-2018

Dear Beverly Families,

It was wonderful to see so many of you at our Back-to-School Bonanza last Thursday night! What a fantastic start to our year together. As we start the 2017-18 school year there are a few details I wanted to call your attention to:
  • Our updated Beverly Family Handbook is attached. There is a great deal of information available here about the daily schedule, the calendar, dress codes and many other important topics.
  • The parking lot entrance off of 168th street will be closed during our morning drop off and afternoon pick up times in order to help with traffic congestion in our parking lot. Please plan to enter the parking lot from the 52nd street entrance.
  • You will see an attendance contract coming home in your back-to-school paperwork. Please be sure to sign and return it. This contract is part of a new state law and the resulting district policies that we hope will help us to improve student attendance district-wide. A good rule of thumb for attendance is that 2-3 absences a year is about average so please be sure to have your children at school on time every day that they are well.
  • In addition, we will be doing automated attendance calls for students who are absent if their families have not reported these absences. In the past, these calls have been made by Mrs. Cooper in our front office but as our school has grown, these calls are taking a very long time. Because these calls are for student safety, we want to be able to contact you quickly if your child is absent and you have not reported the absence. The calls will come through between 10-11 am. If your child is absent, you can avoid a phone call from us if you call and report their absence to our attendance line at (425) 431- 7732. Thank you for your help with this!
  • If your family qualified for free or reduced price meals last year, they will continue to qualify through September. However, for them to continue to receive free or reduced price meals beyond September, you will need to reapply for this school year. You can find application information at this link: Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications
  • We have our Annual Bingo Night on Friday, September 15 at 6 pm in the gym. We hope to see you there!
That's all for now. I hope that everyone gets a good night's sleep so they're ready for our first day tomorrow! I'll see you in the morning! Happy 1st Day of School!!!
